What is Earth Day?
Earth Day began officially on April 22nd, 1970, when Earth Day founder Gaylord Nelson proposed the first nationwide environmental protest. 20 million Americans gathered and organized from coast to coast, to demonstrate for a healthy, sustainable environment.
