Some Good Advice for Baby Stuff and Other Stuff

According to the Seventh Generation Newsletter, here are some good ways to get rid of your stuff without sending it to the trash or good ways to get stuff without buying brand new...

Check Baby Place for a long list of shops selling gently used necessities

If donation avenues aren't open, try freecycle

Freepeats, which charges $4.95 for a lifetime membership and operates in fewer locates but has the advantage of focusing exclusively on children's and maternity clothing, childhood equipment and accessories

And our favorite, for $5 a year, Excess Access will take your list of obsolete items and match the items on it to those on the needs of local charities, which then arrange for a pick-up

Oh and here in NYC, there's Stuff Exchange
